Where are you located?

We are located at 1360 Queen Street East, between Greenwood and Hiltz on the north side of Queen street.

Is there parking?

There is street parking in front of the Salon on the north side of Queen Street.

How do I know if I should book a short, medium-long, or extra-long/thick haircut appointment?           

o   A short hair cut is defined by hair length that is above the ear.

o   A medium-long hair cut is defined by a hair length that is below the ear.

o   An extra-long/thick/curly hair cut is not exclusively defined by length, but also by density- this is the appointment option to book if your hair is longer than mid-back, or extra curly, or very thick (or all of the above)

I currently have long hair, but want to go short what should I book?

Please book your appointment based on the current length of your hair.

I want to colour my hair, but I’m not sure what I should book?

Daughter of Oz Salon is happy to offer complimentary colour consultations! Please call the salon or book online to discuss any questions you have about your hair before scheduling your appointment.

Can you tell me how much my services will be over the phone or by email?

Every head of hair and appointment is unique- therefore we do not give prices over the phone or by email, but we are happy to offer a complimentary consultation where we can discuss pricing!

Do you take walk-ins?

At this time we are appointment only.

I’d like to book an appointment, but I don’t see any available times that work with my schedule, what should I do?

Our online booking system provides the most up-to-date information based on available appointment times, however we do offer guests the opportunity to be added to our cancellation list. If you don’t see any available times, please call the salon and we’d be happy to help!

Will I receive any appointment reminders?

Yes! You will receive a reminder via email, text message or both (based on your Vagaro account preferences) ONE week prior to your appointment, and another one 48 hours before your scheduled time.

Do I have to confirm my appointment?

We consider all appointments confirmed as soon as they are made, but we do ask that you confirm your appointment when you’ve received the request to do so (one week prior to your scheduled time).

I need to cancel/change my appointment, but I have less than 48 hours until the scheduled time, what do I do?

Daughter of Oz salon requires a minimum of 48 hours to edit/reschedule any existing appointments. As per our cancellation policy, last minute cancellations are subject to a cancellation fee (up to 100% of the service charge). If records indicate multiple last-minute appointment cancellations or “no-shows,” a valid credit card must be used to secure any future appointments.

I’m going to be late to my haircut appointment, what should I do?

Please call the salon as soon as you know you’re running late. If you’re running over 15 minutes behind, we do ask that you reschedule your appoint to ensure that there is enough time to give you a great haircut!

I’m going to be late for my colour appointment, what should I do?

Please call the salon as soon as you know you’re running late. We will try our best to honour your existing colour requests, but some changes may be necessary depending on how much time is available once you’ve arrived for your appointment.

How can I pay for my services?

We accept debit and all major credit cards (Mastercard, Visa, AMEX).  

Do you have gift certificates?

We do! And they’re pretty :)
